What to Bring (And other FAQ's)
Following are a few packing and travel tips which can be useful on your Pantanal tour:
What you should bring along:
- Flash light, sun screen, insect repellent, binoculars (if available) and a camera with battery/recharger.
- Light weight pants or jeans (for riding and hiking), T-shirts, one long sleeved shirt (for protection against mosquitoes), shorts, bathing suit, extra socks and underwear, good walking or tennis shoes, windbreaker/light rain jacket and a hat.
- A sweatshirt or a sweater is recommended especially from June to September.
- In our bathrooms we provide soap but no shampoo or body cream.
Luggage :
If you choose to fly we recommend packing soft luggage so that it will fit better into the small aircraft. Please ask your transfer company for your luggage allowance, this can vary from 15kg-25kg depending on the aircraft and number of people.
Diseases / vaccinations:
A Yellow Fever vaccination is required for Brazil, especially to re-enter your country of origin or other South American countries you may visit after Brazil.
There is no malaria at all in our area, therefore you will not need to take malaria prophylaxes. In addition, the ticks here don't carry any serious diseases and there's also no Dengue/Chikunguny or Zica present in the Pantanal.
Please bring along your own medicine in case that you have specific needs.

How much luggage can I bring with me ?
If you fly to Fazenda Barranco Alto by airplane, please check with the transfer company. There are safe places to leave your luggage at the airport if necessary.
